We are Lander Tytgat and Ilka van der Meer, we married in 2013 and we have almost for 10 years a relationship.

We met on the bike and quickly we found out that we had 2 passions that we had both, being active and the love for animals. We had first some chickens and rabits and after a while our first dog was a fact. In the mean time achieved Ilka her certificate vet assistent, but also Lander was having a look in her books. In 2015 we were happy to welcome our first Suomen Lapinkoira puppy. Antarctic'Explorer Okkiaksak, Storm. Storm developed himself to a beautiful dog who loves to be active, just like Lander and Ilka. That's when we started with canicross, just for fun. By the end of 2016 we had a second lapinkoira to welcome in our pack, Melhankozia Monster Mash, Lumi. He is also an active boy and we started with stepjöring in the meantime. It's lovely to do this whith our boys.

In the beginning of 2018 a dream came true. We had the chance to welcome our first Alaskan Malamute. Antarctic'Explorer Quiet Evening Whisper, Aurora. At a young age she was howling as she was still to small to go bikejöring with her big brothers. When FINALLY the moment was there she was the happiest girl in the world.

Especially Lander is busy with the stepjöring, we both keep our body's fit with canicross together with the pack. Ilka takes care of the showhandling. But the daily care is for both of us. All dogs live in our house like a real pack.
